Finishes

Our Shelves are made using a combination of softwood, mdf and veneered mdf. They can be supplied unfinished, primed or painted, or varinshed.

The bespoke painted finishes can be done in a range of different eggshell colours including farrow and ball ranges and dulux ranges. For alcove shelves & cupboards we prefer dulux diamond eggshell because it is hard wearing & more stain resistant. We use a shellac or oil based primer sealer. For the wall shelves we use a solvent based lacquer for the standard white colours which gives a nice smooth finish. All paint finishes are sprayed,

We use real wood veneers for our wood finishes, (optionally) varnished with a wax/oil finish. (photos for guidance only samples marked * will go darker with varnish/oil):
